With the development of science and technology, the lithium battery has a great progress, and the scope of its use is becoming more and more extensive. In fact, the structure of lithium battery is divided into two categories: winding and stacking. The structure of lithium battery is mainly composed of five blocks, namely: positive electrode, negative electrode, electrolyte, separator, shell and electrode lead.
Then lithium batteries are divided into two kinds of liquid lithium batteries, one is polymer lithium battery, in which liquid lithium batteries use winding structures and two kinds of lithium batteries.
The winding type of positive electrode diaphragm, diaphragm and negative electrode are arranged in good order, and are wound into cylindrical or flat columns, mainly represented by SANYO, TOSHIBA, SONY and ATL. Stacking will stack the way of positive pole, diaphragm, negative pole, diaphragm and positive pole. All the positive electrodes are welded together, and the negative electrodes are also welded together, which is mainly represented by ATL.
At present, lithium battery materials commonly used include lithium cobalt oxide, lithium niobate and lithium manganate. The most used material is lithium cobalt oxide, which has good cycling performance and convenient manufacture. The disadvantage is that cobalt compounds are more expensive. Lithium niobate is difficult to produce because of its unstable nature. The cobalt lithium doped nickel compound is commonly used, also known as nickel cobalt lithium. Lithium manganate is also a very good material. Under high temperature, the attenuation of lithium manganate is faster and so on. Most of the applications are still in the laboratory stage.
