Lithium battery is a kind of battery with lithium explosion-proof battery metal or lithium alloy as negative electrode and non aqueous electrolyte solution. The earliest lithium battery came from the great inventor Edison, using the following reaction: Li+MnO2=LiMnO2 reaction is redox reaction. The discharge is very active because of the chemical characteristics of lithium metal. The processing, preservation and use of lithium metal require very high environmental requirements. Therefore, lithium batteries have not been used for a long time. Now lithium batteries have become the mainstream.
Lithium ion battery (Lithium battery) refers to the battery containing lithium (including lithium metal, lithium alloy, lithium ion, lithium polymer) in the electrochemical system. Lithium batteries can be broadly classified into two categories: lithium metal batteries and lithium ion batteries. Lithium metal batteries are usually non rechargeable and contain metallic lithium. Lithium ion batteries do not contain lithium and can be charged.
The technology of lithium battery is very strict and complex. Here, we can only briefly introduce some of the main processes.
